Umrah Cost from Islamabad 2026-27: Full Price Breakdown

Umrah cost from Islamabad 2026-27 price breakdown – Trip Tasia Umrah

If you are planning Umrah this season, the first question is always the same: how much will it cost? The honest answer is that the Umrah cost from Islamabad depends on four things: when you travel, which airline you fly, how close your hotel is to the Haram, and how many people share a room.

In this guide we break the total down line by line in Pakistani rupees, so you can see where your money goes before you compare Umrah packages from Islamabad. We also cover how prices change by season, what hotel tier suits your family, and the hidden charges to ask about before you pay any agent.

How Much Does Umrah Cost from Islamabad in 2026-27?

For most pilgrims, a complete Umrah trip from Pakistan costs between PKR 220,000 and PKR 500,000+ per person in 2026, according to Wego’s 2026 cost guide. The lower end is an economy package with quad sharing in the off-season. The upper end is a 4 or 5-star package close to the Haram, or any trip during Ramadan.

The visa itself is a small part of the bill. Flights and hotels make up most of the total, and those two numbers move the most with the season.

Umrah Cost Breakdown per Person (PKR)

Umrah cost from Islamabad breakdown – visa, flights, hotels and transport in PKR

1. Umrah visa fee for Pakistanis

The Saudi Umrah visa fee is SAR 300, about PKR 22,300. Pakistani passport holders cannot apply for this visa themselves on Nusuk. It must be filed by a licensed operator, and it is only issued once your hotel and transport in Saudi Arabia are booked.

After the visa is issued you have 30 days to enter Saudi Arabia, and you can stay for up to 90 days. Medical insurance is required and is usually added by your operator. For documents and processing times, read our full guide to the Umrah visa for Pakistanis, or see our Umrah visa service.

2. Umrah ticket price from Islamabad

The air ticket is usually the largest single cost. PIA and Saudia fly direct from Islamabad International Airport to Jeddah and Madinah. One-stop routes through Dubai, Sharjah or Doha are often cheaper outside peak season, but they add travel time, which matters for elderly parents.

Fares rise sharply in Ramadan and during school holidays. Booking 6 to 8 weeks ahead usually gets a better fare. Our packages include the return ticket, so you see one total price instead of chasing fares yourself.

3. Hotels in Makkah and Madinah

Hotel choice changes your total more than anything else you control. A hotel within a few minutes’ walk of Masjid al-Haram can cost several times more than one 1 to 2 km away with a shuttle bus.

Room sharing matters too. Quad sharing is the cheapest option. A double or twin room typically costs 30 to 40% more per person. You can check current rates on our Makkah and Madinah hotel rates page.

4. Transport inside Saudi Arabia

Every package needs airport pickup, a drop-off at the end, and the roughly 450 km road trip between Makkah and Madinah. A shared coach is the budget option. A private car costs more but saves hours of waiting, which many families with children or older parents find worth it. See our Umrah transport rates for current car and coach prices.

5. Operator fee, insurance and vaccinations

Every licensed operator charges a service fee for handling your visa file, bookings and support. Ask for this as a separate line on your invoice.

You also need health preparation. Saudi Arabia requires the ACYW meningitis vaccine at least 10 days before arrival, and travellers from Pakistan need at least one polio dose (Saudi Ministry of Health requirements, via Wego). Budget a small amount for these.

6. Food, Ziyarat and personal spending

Many economy packages do not include meals. Plan roughly PKR 1,500 to 3,000 per person per day for food. Guided Ziyarat of sites such as Masjid Quba, Mount Uhud and Jabal al-Nour may be included or charged separately, so check before you book. Keep extra for Zamzam, gifts and local travel.

How the Season Changes Your Umrah Package Price

Your travel dates can move the total by hundreds of thousands of rupees. Industry estimates for an economy package look like this:

Season Economy package per person (PKR)
Off-peak (Shawwal to mid-Sha’ban) 220,000 – 300,000
First 20 nights of Ramadan 400,000 – 600,000
Last 10 nights of Ramadan 600,000 – 800,000+

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 or 9 February 2027, subject to moon sighting (Wego Ramadan 2027 guide). Rooms near the Haram for those weeks fill early, so if Ramadan is your goal, book now rather than in January.

Keep the season deadlines in mind too. For 1448 AH, the last Umrah visa is issued on 9 March 2027, you must enter Saudi Arabia by 23 March 2027, and you must leave by 7 April 2027 (Ministry of Hajj and Umrah calendar).

Umrah Package Price in Islamabad by Hotel Tier

Most families choose between three levels:

  • Economy and 3-star: hotels a little farther from Masjid al-Haram, often with a shuttle bus. Best for young, fit pilgrims who don’t mind walking. This is where cheap Umrah packages from Islamabad sit.
  • 4-star: a shorter walk to the Haram and a good balance of comfort and price. The most popular choice for families.
  • 5-star and VIP: hotels close to Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, with private cars for every transfer. Best for elderly travellers and anyone who wants short walks between prayers.

7 Ways to Lower Your Umrah Cost

  1. Avoid Ramadan and school holidays if you have a choice. The same hotel can cost far less a few weeks earlier or later.
  2. Book early. Flights and hotels near the Haram get more expensive as seats and rooms run out.
  3. Share a room. Quad or triple sharing cuts the hotel cost per person.
  4. Accept a short shuttle ride. Hotels 1 to 2 km from the Haram are where the biggest savings appear.
  5. Choose a one-stop flight if nobody in your group needs the shortest journey.
  6. Pick shared coach transport for the Makkah–Madinah trip.
  7. Split your nights wisely. Madinah hotels are often cheaper than Makkah hotels of the same standard, so a slightly longer Madinah stay can lower your total.

Hidden Costs to Ask About Before You Pay

A low headline price can hide extra charges. Before paying any agent, ask for an itemised quote that separates the visa, flight, hotels, transport, insurance and service fee. Also check:

  • The exact hotel names in Makkah and Madinah, not “similar hotel”.
  • Whether meals and Ziyarat are included.
  • The baggage allowance, especially if you want to bring Zamzam home.
  • That the company is on the Ministry of Religious Affairs approved list. Since July 2026, only approved companies may provide Umrah services, and complaints are only accepted against them (ARY News).
  • That you pay through a bank and keep every receipt.
